Prasanna history

Prasanna (born 28 August 1982) is a Tamil film actor.

Personal background
His father was an employee in BHEL and his mother is a housewife. Prasanna was really good at doing mimicry and acting, when he was in school and college. This quality of our young star got him the first opportunity. He was still a student of engineering (Saranathan College of Engineering) when he responded to an open audition for actors in Susi Ganesan's Five Star. An unusual and refreshing film dealing with friendship, Five Star marked Prasanna's film debut. The film was produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies; it was well received by critics and performed modestly at the box office.

Film career
Prasanna's next two films, however, did not fare well commercially. After Five Star, his noteworthy performance came in Azhagiya Theeye. The film, involving an ensemble cast, was produced by Prakash Raj's Duet Films and directed by Radhamohan. It was once again with a Prakash Raj production - Kanda Naal Muthal - that Prasanna tasted true commercial success. The film was directed by Priya V. and costarred Laila and Karthik Kumar. His role of a modern day Villain was a huge hit in Mysskin's movie Anjathey. His negative role was praised by the audience. His film Achchamundu Achchamundu with actress Sneha was very well received internationally and praised a lot for its bold theme of Pedophiles.
